United Tips of America has announced that UNITED X TWO will be taking place on January 23rd, 2:00pm at The Elks Lodge in Pompton Lakes, N.J. The first UNITED X took place at The now-defunct Wayne YMCA back in May of 2024 and was a rousing success, drawing business people and quality companies from around the TriState Area to the event and resulting in hundreds of successful connections.
UNITED X TWO will feature a large networking opportunity, followed by live presentations from five of United Tips of America’s Speak Team members. Sponsors will be on hand with vendor exhibits as well where varying community businesses.
The Speakers for the event were announced last week amid fierce speculation and anticipation. Conference organizer and the coach of Speak Team, Paul Bastante, poured over the members of the team and based the decision on a number of different criteria including performance skill, presentation topic, relevance to the theme of the conference and seniority on the team.
“It really was very hard decision because of the talent on Speak Team Six and the amount of team members with lofty amounts of experience, but in the end, I feel that this combination of speakers is stellar and will bring incredible value to our attendees and guests at the conference”, Bastante said, adding, “There is little doubt that you will leave this conference with knowledge and perhaps some nice business connections at the same time”.
Headlining UNITED X TWO is established speaker and personal trainer, Coach Marco Iglesia, who will move you with an incredible message of motivation, and leave you feeling ready to make the new you. Iglesia was a key performer at UX ONE, and is the only performer making his second United X appearance. Marco Owns and operates a fitness center called, "Infynite Fitness".
Coach Marco has been a member of United Tips of America for several years and has really been able to improve his presentation skills, honing a style that engages listeners and motivating them more than ever to embrace life’s change. “I have been doing this for quite some time and I’m comfortable while performing”, Iglesia said, “But it really just comes down to whether or not you can earn the engagement of the attendees, and that is what I plan to do”.
The remaining speakers come to us with varying degrees of experience but are all experts in their career fields.
David Corsini is a Speak Team Rookie, however, that doesn’t mean that he is new to the game. David is an expert in Neuro-linguistic programming and will give a talk on the science of speaking in public. Neuro-linguistic programming is a pseudoscientific approach that uses language to help people change their thoughts and behaviors in order to be more successful in all areas of one's life.
Shelli Williams is the Senior Director of Springpoint Senior Living, managing three of the best facilities for care in the entire country. This will be Shelli’s first appearance giving a talk at UNITED X, but make no mistake, she is definitely not a rookie, performing at the first UNITED X Event as the Master of Ceremonies, for which she holds a Speak Team Six Certification.
The fourth presenter in our UNITED X TWO lineup is filmmaker, director and livestream artist, Christopher Fetchik. Fetchik brings a wealth of diverse experience to the UNITED X stage, where he will bring the attendees of the conference on an intelligent ride utilizing a fun and witty style of engagement. Chris is always a treat to hear and those in attendance will appreciate his unique approach. Christopher owns Art 2 Educate.
Rounding out the UNITED X TWO lineup on January 23rd is Alison Lukin, Founder and president of Officially Social. This will be Alison’s first appearance on the big stage as well, but it will not be her first time performing as she appeared on November 9, 2024 at UNITED X LOCAL where she earned much acclaim for the talk that she calls, “The Island Theory”. It is an entertaining and interesting way to embrace the idea of creating a sort of separation or boundaries between others in your life.
Bastante put the Speak Team together in 2023 as a way for the members of United Tips of America to improve their public speaking skills as well as to help them navigate the public speaking space. “I meet people all the time who rank public speaking in front of death as far as biggest fears” Bastante shared. “Each member of the team has different motivations for trying to become better public speakers but most do it for a few key reasons”.
To Improve - Being a great presenter of ideas can help in many areas of one’s life. To be more confident, better at your job, better at communicating, these are all things that public speaking will help you to improve.
To Overcome Fear - Do you experience anxiety at the idea of having to speak in public? Do you break out in cold sweats at just the mere mention of having to present at the next company training session? Some would rather die than have to do public speaking. If this is you, helping to overcome this fear could be a key to a better life in all manner of ways.
Ego - Listen, just keepin it real here, many people are motivated by the rush of adrenaline associated with performing live. There is nothing more satisfying than moving an audience to laugh, to cry, to feel, something. In surveys, the majority of people say that ego is at least part of the reason that they seek public speaking engagements and performances. And why not?
Financial considerations - Cold hard cash! Maybe you need to pay the bills, maybe you need to buy a new car, or pay child support or you plan on taking a nice vacation to the Galapagos Islands?
